WEB PROCESS
Step 1 ~ Planning
Once your initial deposit is received, we will send you a design questionnaire so that you can tell us more about you, your business and ideas on the look and feel of your website, logo, or marketing material. Giving us clear direction is critical ~ if you are able to help us understand your vision for the project, it will go much faster and much more smoothly.

We will brainstorm on layout ideas, design elements, site functionality, etc. After we nail down exactly what you are looking for, we will move on to graphic design and approval.

At this time, we will put together a timeline for the remainder of your project.

Step 2 ~ Design
We will work on some static mock-ups of your site so that you may critique them. This is your chance to tell us what you like and what you don’t like. It is very important that you give us feedback at this stage. Making major changes once we have moved on to Implementation can result in an increase to your original estimated price.

We typically allow two major alterations to the mock-ups before we discuss estimated price increases. Major alterations include large, dramatic changes to the design ~ such as a completely new layout, new graphics, new features or functionality. Minor tweaks and revisions are accepted throughout the design process.

Step 3 ~ Development
This is when we will actually build your site ~ install the software, set up the shopping cart, integrate your design, perform any custom coding you have requested.

Our preference is to build the site on your domain. If you already have a live site, we will work in a test environment on your domain. This way you can watch the progress and see it all come together.

Once the site is installed and you are happy with it, we will have a phone consultation to go over the basics of product entry and site management.

At this time, the remaining project balance will be collected.

Step 4 ~ Launch
When your inventory has been added and test orders completed, you will be ready to go live!

If your site is running in a test environment, we will move it to its final location.

We will take down your “coming soon” page if you have one.

Please note that all claims for defects, corrections, or glitches must be made within 14 days of project completion. All requests made after the 14 day period are subject to additional fees at our normal hourly rates.

LOGO PROCESS
Step 1 ~ Planning
Once your initial deposit is received, we will send you a design questionnaire so that you can tell us more about you, your business and ideas or concepts. Giving us clear direction is critical ~ if you are able to help us understand your vision for the project, it will go much faster and much more smoothly.

We will brainstorm on concepts, style, design elements, colors, etc. After we have a firm understanding for the target audience, differentiating factors, likes, pitfalls and concepts we will move on to the design phase.

At this time, we will put together a timeline for the remainder of your project.

Step 2 ~ Design
The design phase involves 3 rounds of 3-5 logos. The overall process is like building a pyramid. We start broad and narrow down with each round until there is 1 logo left at the top.

Round 1: This round is a conceptual round in which we head in 3-5 different directions. We will explore fonts, composition and concepts. This round of logos is done in black and white or greyscale. It is imperative that a logo works in black and white and that color simply adds emphasis to the overall design. Often times your logo will only appear in black and white and if it falls apart when color is removed then the logo is not successful. It is important to remember that none of the logos in this first round should be viewed as a final logo. Even if you love one in the first round it is important to refine and explore the idea or concept. After you receive the first round logo presentation we will wait for your feedback before continuing on to the second round.

Round 2: In this round we will enhance, explore and refine the concepts from the first round based on the client feedback. After you receive the second round logo presentation we will wait for your feedback before continuing on to the third round.

Round 3: In this round we will refine based on the feedback from the previous round. The final concept has been flushed out from the previous 2 rounds therefore this round is used to fine tune the execution. We will explore all color options and slight variations.

If after 3 rounds we still need to make major alterations which include large, dramatic changes to the design ~ such as a completely new concept, new graphics, new business name, time will be billed at an agreed hourly rate. Minor tweaks and revisions are accepted throughout the design process.

Step 3 ~ Final Files
At this time, the remaining project balance will be collected.
Once final payment has been received we will burn all the files and supporting files to a disc. The disc will include fonts, any images used, color codes and specs.
Files formats include all native files, PDF, EMP, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PNG
